The Chardham Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in India, held in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand. Pilgrims can travel by road using buses, taxis, or private vehicles. Helicopter services are also available, especially for Kedarnath and Do Dham routes, offering a convenient option for senior citizens and time-bound travelers, subject to weather conditions.
The best time to visit is May–June for pleasant weather and September–October for fewer crowds and clear mountain views. Travelers are advised to carry warm clothing, rain protection, essential medicines, and follow eco-friendly practices throughout the journey.
