The circuit

The order is not a suggestion.

The yatra runs west to east, and each dham opens on its own date when the temple doors are unsealed for the season. This is the route you will actually travel.

01
Yamunotri Source of the Yamuna. Reached on foot or by pony from Janki Chatti — a 6 km climb.
3,293 m Opens 30 Apr
02
Gangotri Where the Ganga is said to have descended. The only dham reachable directly by road.
3,100 m Opens 2 May
03
Kedarnath The highest of the twelve Jyotirlingas. 16 km trek from Gaurikund, or by helicopter.
3,583 m Opens 2 May
04
Badrinath The final dham, and the only one on the Char Dham of all India. Road to the door.
3,300 m Opens 4 May

Why us

The yatra is hard. The booking shouldn't be.

Drivers who know the hills

Not city drivers sent up for the season. Our people have run the Rudraprayag and Gaurikund roads for years, in rain and in traffic, and they know when to wait.

Registration handled

Uttarakhand requires biometric registration for darshan at all four dhams. We complete it for every booked pilgrim before you arrive.

Hotels we have slept in

Every property on our route has been visited by someone from our team. At 3,000 metres, a checked heater matters more than a photograph.

Being a single female travelling with my 90-year-old mother from London, completing the Chardham was my dream. Thanks to the team for making it a reality. We've completed the journey three times now.

Took the Kedarnath Badrinath Do Dham package and it exceeded expectations. The guide was knowledgeable, accommodations were comfortable, and darshan arrangements were seamless even during peak season.

Before you book

The questions we're actually asked.

Is registration mandatory for the Char Dham Yatra?

Yes. Uttarakhand requires biometric registration for darshan at all four dhams. It is free, done online or at counters in Haridwar and Rishikesh, and we complete it on your behalf once you have booked.

When is the best time to go?

The season runs from late April or early May to November. May–June and September–October have the most settled weather. July and August fall in the monsoon, when landslides regularly close the hill roads — we advise against it.

Can elderly parents manage the yatra?

Often, yes. Gangotri and Badrinath are reachable by road to the temple. Yamunotri is a 6 km climb and Kedarnath 16 km — both can be done by pony, palanquin or helicopter. Tell us their age and mobility and we will plan around it.

What is not included in the package price?

Pony and palanquin charges, helicopter tickets unless stated, personal expenses, and any cost arising from a road closure or weather delay. We list exclusions in full on every itinerary rather than at the end of a phone call.

The doors close in November.

The four shrines are sealed for winter and reopen next spring. If you intend to go this season, now is the time to fix your dates.
